About
Ars longa, Vita brevis
Kelly Marie Sheerin is an upcoming graduate of the School of Education at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, where she has pursued fine art painting and art education. A dedicated and enthusiastic advocate for art and visual education, she is passionate about fostering creative learning and engagement within schools.

Her recent work explores compelling subject matters, including the Catholic Church's relationship with women in Ireland and her own personal connection to religion. While painting remains her primary discipline, she embraces a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating sculptural and photographic elements into her practice. Kelly Marie believes that the art she creates dictates its required medium, allowing her to adapt and innovate with each piece.

As an educator, Kelly Marie strives to bring her subject to life in meaningful and exciting ways. Her diverse skills in both physical and digital media enable her to create imaginative and dynamic learning environments for students across all year groups. She is committed to encouraging every learner to explore their creativity and takes pride in fostering a positive, playful, and engaging atmosphere in her classroom.

For Kelly, art education is about more than teaching technique—it's about inspiring students to take risks, embrace new challenges, and discover the joy of creative expression. Dedicated to both her artistic craft and the individual growth of her students, Kelly strives to make every day in her classroom a meaningful and memorable experience.
